I think that it means that people are searching. They may not know Who they are searching for, but they long for a deeper meaning in their life. Sometimes it reminds me of the Tower of Bable. We think so highly of ourselves. Professing ourselves to be wise, we become fools. It also is amazing because we can use all of these things to spread the gospel message. Christs love and the gift He has come to give. Just my two cents:)
Didn’t we evolve from random chemicals – which were a product of a cosmos that didn’t exist but then lept into spontaneous existence with no perceived cause ? And aren’t we destined for nihilism ?
So, can there really be meaning ? And, even if there is meaning, who cares ?
I don’t know, I suppose we’ll have to wait for Dawkins and Hitchens to tell us. They have the answers, right ? Maybe that'll be the next book.
I am so proud of you and your ministry! We know the move will be just a terrific experience for the entire Pruitt clan. We wish you the very best and will continue to pray for you, Karen and your children.
Really the only things changing are outside us; our access to "information," our closeness to our neighbors, and tolerance for the Truth. Many still hate God teaching their children to do the same. To question Google "What is Truth?" I got 64,600,000 hits in 30 seconds. Google "Who is Jesus?" - 23,700,000. Amazing!
Looks like we still need the Almighty God to bring us to the the Lamb of God for Him to cleanse us through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. So then we can find The Truth, The Way and The Life, honoring and enjoying Him.
Oh and Bible preachers too. At least your job is secure till they start chopping off heads. I'm not so sure about advertising / deacon types.
It means that as long the national government forces educators to spend every moment of the day preparing students to take state tests written in the multiple choice format, they will never learn to think and adapt in this ever changing world. (Let us teach kids to think, not to take tests!!!)
Ugh on the previous comment. I couldn't disagree more.
But anyway, I think it means that God is amazing and we can't begin to imagine what he knows and has created. How incredible that the God who created all this information and all these people wants to spend every minute of every day with me.
I agree with Noel. That's one reason we are a homeschooling family. As for this video, it also reminded me of the Tower of Babel. Technology doesn't change the fact that these millions of people need a Savior. No matter how "smart" we get, we can't save ourselves.
A native of Houston, Texas, Todd served as youth pastor in churches in Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Todd was called as the first pastor of Metro East Baptist Church in September of 1999. In November 2008 Todd became the Teaching Pastor of Church of the Saviour in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
Following a call to the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Todd became the Lead Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, VA in August of 2013.
He is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Todd and his wife, Karen, have been married since 1990 and have three children: Kate, Ryan, and Matthew.
"Therefore the Christ who is grasped by faith and who lives in the heart is the true Christian righteousness, on account of which God counts us righteous and grants us eternal life."
Martin Luther
"The Gospel is sheer good tidings, not demand but promise, not duty but gift."

Hi Todd,

Best wishes for a great 2009,

Reminds me of the verse in Daniel 12 where "...end time...people run to and fro and knowledge increases..."
Scary except for HIM!
