The Real Planned Parenthood

As the following undercover video reveals, Planend Parenthood has nothing to do with women's "choice" or "reproductive health." They are a pro-abortion business. They grow and sustain their business on deception, lies, and bad science. At one point the abortionist tells the young woman that it's dangerous to have a baby. Please remember those politicians who have made promises to and championed the cause of Planned Parenthood. It is a wicked enterprise.

Todd,

I have never understood why more Pastors do not preach about this from the pulpit, particularly as election time. Abortion seems to be one of those "political" subjects most pastors shy away from. Until Christian leaders openly take a stand against this abhorrent practice from the pulpit we will never end it.

God Bless,
Bill

Bill,

In certain parts of the country it is very common for pastors to publically condemn abortion. I have found that is not the case in the Philadelphia area (perhaps the entire northeast). Pastors know that there are those who vote for pro-abortion politicians and they don't want to make them angry so they keep silent. I have had a few folks take some shots at me.

Don't misunderstand, I do not like election politics in the pulpit. I will not endorse any candidate. I will not allow a politician in the pulpit. Too often churches have looked to presidents, legislators, and judges as a means to "change the culture". This is a grave error whether it is done from the right or left.

However, abortion is one of those unique issues that crosses lines. It is first and foremost a moral evil which is in clear violation of God's law. However, our elected officials are the one who impact abortion policy. Therefore, the church must speak directly to those in power and provide a voice of conscience.

From the very first time I was old enough to vote I knew that I could never vote for anyone who was so morally obtuse as to believe abortion was defensible. I know I have brothers and sisters in Christ who do not see it the same way.

I have been accused of being a single issue voter. But the fact is, we are all single issue voters. Everyone cares enough about something that if a candidate took an opposing view, they would not be able to vote for them with a clean conscience.

For instance, if a presidential candidate said, "I think the poor are getting what they deserve for not working hard. Let them starve," then that would be an automatic disqualification for many voters. Some will not vote for someone who does not share their views on the environment. And yet those same folks will vote for a man who champions abortion and the reprehensible groups that provide them. I just don't understand.

Todd,

I completely agree with you. I would never want politics preached from the pulpit, nor would it be appropriate for political candidates to speak from the pulpit. However, as you so well stated, some issues that are considered “political” are also moral issues. Those issues should and must be preached, from the pulpit and in the streets if we are going to change the direction our country is going in.

God Bless,

Bill
