Old Heresy, New Faces

I agree...Old heresy, new faces. Unfortunately Oprah is incrediby well-respected, listened to and watched by millions of women. These women are raising the children who will lead us in the future. Women may not be the head of the home, but they have incredible influence. I pray more women seek the truth in God's word, not chicken soup for their souls.

Noel & Casey,

Well said.

Yes, these "other ways to God" do indeed lead to the same place - eternal separation from God and His righteous judgment.

Todd...

Oprah here. I just want you to know that I am a Christian, and I'd like to clear up any misunderstandings you may have concerning my spirituality (not my religion, because the two are completely distinct). I believe in Jesus. And I believe that he was selfless. So much so that he did not come to teach us how divine he was but to teach that divinity was within us. I used to believe that the Good News was that Jesus died and was raised to new life for our salvation, but in light of the new spirituality, in light of the influences of open-mindedness in my life, I've come to realize that Jesus came to show us the way to true spirituality. Not divisive religious doctrine and practice, but to show us how to live and find the God within us all. I've come to understand that God is love...in a new and profound way. He is love, so much so, that in his love there couldn't possibly be only one way...Love appreciates the sincere. Love respects personal sacrifice. Love always wins. I mean, does the Christian God care about your heart or whether you called His Son Jesus?

:)
