Earl Scruggs 1924-2012

Earl Scruggs, the greatest bluegrass muscian of all time died yesterday at the age of 88.

A genius and definitely in the top three, but I would have to put Monroe above him.

Monroe was certainly the father of Bluegrass and the most important single artist in the genre. He was brilliant. Scruggs was probably the greatest master of a single instrument in bluegrass.
